Bessie I. Nething, 100, of Hannibal and Cameron, OH, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Westwood Place Woodsfield, OH.
She was born September 21, 1922, in Cameron, OH, a daughter of the late John and Joanna Boughner Suppes.
She was a retired Post Master for the Cameron Post Office and was a member of the Cameron Church of Christ and Duffy Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey Nething; second husband, Kenneth Nething; 7 sisters, Vada Nething, Pauline Alleman, Carrie Kirkland, Zelda Mokosh, Nancy Pumneo, Gail Henthorn and Nora Bonar; 3 brothers, Colonel, Paul and John Suppes Jr.; and 2 half-sisters, Mae Oestrich and Marie Schaffter.
Survivors include a son, Roger (Vickie) Nething of Melbourne, FL; granddaughter, Melissa (David) Back of Kingsport, TN; grandson, Eric (Mandi) Nething of Valrico, FL; great- grandchildren, Kaelynn, Ashlea, & Nathanael Back, Garrett, Emma, Ryan, Dalton and Easton Nething; 1 brother, Carl Suppes of Wooster, OH; step-daughter, Sharon (Arnold) Isner of Hannibal, OH; 2 step-grandchildren, Arlene (Lloyd) Cross and Kenny Isner, both of Hannibal; 5 step great-grandchildren, Kelsie Clegg, Kylie and Kendall Cross, Shaden and Aubree Isner.
Family will receive friends on Friday Feb. 10, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home 125 Clarinda Dr. Clarington, OH, with Evangelist Greg Yost officiating.
Interment will follow in Cameron Cemetery.
