L. DeEtta Sell, 88, of Pine Grove, WV, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at her home.
She was a protestant by faith. DeEtta was one of the first kindergarten aides in Wetzel County, where she retired from twenty six years ago. She was known as "Granny Sell" to all her former students and the kids in the community.
She was born February 1, 1935 in Folsom, WV, the daughter of the late Frank and Berniece Adams Chiccarello.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. "Jim" Sell, two brothers, Keith McBee and Carl "Buddy" Chiccarello.
Surviving is a daughter, Debbie (Mike) Bates, a son, James A. "Jim" (Andrea) Sell, four grandchildren, April (Phillip) Ring, Anthony (Krista) Bates, Lyndsay (Matt) Vest and Bryan (Nikki) Sell, eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, February 13, 2023 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Hastings, WV.
