Patricia A. Tarr passed away at Wheeling Hospital Sunday, February 12th. She was 79 years old.
She was a member of St. Vincent's Parish and attended school there.
She was preceded in death by her father Peter Tarr, mother Stella (Rensvich) Tarr and sister Nancy (Tarr) Brugioni.
She is survived by her nieces Heather Brugioni (Amanda), Catherine Brugioni and several cousins.
She was so photogenic and always wore a smile. She never complained and always said thank you. She appreciated her family so much and it showed with how much joy she had in her eyes.
She knew she was loved uncontrollably and adored for how sweet she was. She could meet someone for the first time and after 10 minutes want to hug them and say I Love You. She didn't know hate, impatience, prejudice or anything negative. She accepted everyone and loved everything. She was funny, proper when she had to, always remembered her family's birthdays, would ask about how friends were doing and talked about her past.
Patty loved to visit the tulips in Oglebay in Springtime, the Festival of Lights in Winter, being driven around to look at Christmas lights throughout the neighborhoods, crafting tissue box covers with yarn, spending time with her dog Lily, recieving flowers and being active with her family.
She enjoyed the Cooking Network, watching Harry Potter marathons, animated movies and Penguins & Steelers games. She went on many adventures in recent years including a trip to Tennessee, a Steelers game, many Wheeling Nailers games, Washington Wildthings games, to her nieces band shows, to several family gatherings at her friends Susan & Matt's house, picnics, side by side & 4 wheeler rides. Yes, she went EVERYWHERE with her family.
She enjoyed restaurants around town, coffee daily, shopping for no reason, getting her nails & makeup done and hair dyed regularly. She loved the colors purple, red & anything leopard print, butterflies, sitting on the porch and candles.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and everyone she met.
Rest in peace our sweet, sweet Aunt Patty.
Friends will be received on Thursday February 16, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling. Services will be Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jeeson Stephan officiating Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
