Ronald F. Shelek, 80, of Moundsville, died Friday, February 3, 2023 in WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.
He was born April 21, 1942 in Wheeling; the son of the late Charles and Charlotte Burkhard Shelek.
Ronn was retired employee of 34 years from Ormet Corporation; member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; Masonic Lodge 1, AF & AM; Osiris Shrine; Arab Patrol; and loved watching Western movies and CNN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Donald, David, and Robert Shelek; one sister, Bonnie Cheslick; two granddaughters, Jessica Vucelik and Nicole Nuce.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Diane Brown Shelek; one daughter, Lisa (Pat) Gongola and their daughter Maddie Gongola all of McMechen; one brother, Jimmy (Ann) Shelek of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Connie Stahl, Polly (Bob) Stenger all of Wheeling; Diane's children, Jewell (Brian) Vucelik of Moundsville, Debbie Perine of Morgantown, Sadonna Nuce of Moundsville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 10am until the time of service at 12noon at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, with Fr. That Son Ngoc Nguyen officiating.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
