Beverly Jean Dougherty, 89, formerly of Clearview, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Continuous Care Center.
She was born in Wheeling, WV, on November 15, 1933, daughter of the late John Austin and Nelle Petras Vermillion.
Beverly retired from Wheeling Stamping Company as a press operator and was a Catholic by faith. She was very religious, loved flowers and her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Dougherty in 1985; one sister, Vonnie Koegler; brothers, Tim, Robert, Jerry and Ronnie Vermillion.
She is survived by her son, Daniel H. (Susan) Dougherty of Wheeling, WV; daughter, April L. (Ike) Sparks of Wheeling, WV; one brother, Thomas (Pat) Vermillion; six grandchildren, Tracy (Jim) Eberhard, Ben (Erin) Sparks, Matthew Dougherty, Joshua Dougherty, Lacey (Shania) Feury, and Danielle (Jay) Wines; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 1308 Chapline Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-232-5110) where services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 10 am with Father Cyprian Osuegbu officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
