Charles E. "CE" Steinman passed away on Saturday March 25, 2023 at the age of 85, at home with his bride and daughter beside him.
He was born August 8, 1937, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Walter and Marcella Steinman of Fulton.
CE was retired from Verizon with 37 years of service and a graduate of Triadelphia HS. He was a member of Stone Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder, Deacon and was on the personnel committee. He was a Mason and 50 year member of Ohio Lodge #1. He enjoyed the outdoors and sitting on his front porch. He liked golf and making saw dust.
He made bird houses, toy boxes, benches, tables and flower stands. He also served on the the board of Pony Baseball and coached baseball in Elm Grove where many knew him well.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katherine A. Steinman of Austin Texas.
Survivors include his wife Suzanne L. (Randolph) Steinman; son, Charles E. (Pat) Steinman, II of TX; daughter, Christine D. Steinman; granddaughter, Jessica L. Steinman; grandson, Maxwell S. Steinman; brother, Walter (Sally) Steinman, Jr.: Beki (David) Thierwechter whom he considered just like a daughter. From his marriage to Suzanne, who has 3 children, he has grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
Family will receive friends at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Rd., Wheeling (304-232-2732) on Wednesday March 29 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm and again on Thursday March 30 from 10:30 am until the time of service at 11 am.
Interment will follow in Greenwood cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stone Presbyterian Church.
