Cheri Lee Koscevic, 74, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH with her family by her side.
Cheri was born on April 16, 1948, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Charles "Red" and Helen (Frey) Schwertfeger. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Krista (Koscevic) Battalio, a nephew, John Jay Reck, and a niece, Nikki (Reck) Eby.
She graduated from Bethany High School in 1966. Cheri retired from the Bethany College Business office and previously worked as a teller at Wesbanco Bank and Wellsburg Banking and Trust. She was Christian by faith. In her spare time she loved spending time with her friends and taking them places like shopping and to Doctors appointments and especially spending time with her grandsons the three "C's."
Cheri is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Thomas Koscevic at home, one son, Karey (Heather) Koscevic of Peachtree City, GA; three grandsons her three "C's" as she would say, Connor and Carson Koscevic, and Cooper Battalio; one sister, Karen (J.D.) Reck of Wellsburg, WV, three brothers, her twin Terry L. "Harpo" and (Nikki) Schwertfeger of Follansbee, WV, C.E. (Nancy) Schwertfeger of Wellsburg, WV, and Keith Schwertfeger and fiancee Sheila of Buffalo, NY; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, March 11th at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Frances Center 805 Lee Rd. Follansbee, WV 26037 with a luncheon following the service.
Inurnment will be held privately.
