Gertrude (Trudy) Forster entered into eternal rest Wednesday March 15, 2023.
She was born April 13, 1938. She was a very active member of St. John's Parish in Benwood. Trudy attended Central High School and was a graduate of Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing in 1958, where she spent her entire career of nursing. She was a member of many organizations throughout her life. Upon retiring she worked as a secretary for St. Alphonsus, St. James and St. Johns.
She is survived by, a niece, Mary Catherine (Michael) Laroy; a nephew, Gerald (Rosemary) Pavelka; Great nieces, Renne (James) Swinson, Jennifer Sobota and April (Brady) Fraczkowski; Great nephew, Robert Sobota; 4 great-great-nephews; and 1 great-great-niece.
She was preceded in death by; her father, Leo Forster; mother, Elizabeth (Harry) Miller; Brother, Joseph Pavelka; Uncles, John and Connie; and 1 Aunt, Violet.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 19 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-7:30pm with a prayer vigil at 7:30. Mass of Christian burial will take place Monday, March 20th at St. John's Church at 11am. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
