Helen E (Gray) Archbold, 97, of Charlotte, NC formerly of Wheeling, passed away on Saturday March 11, 2023.
She was born in Short Creek, WV on August 9, 1925 daughter of the late, Robert and Thelma Irene (Hercules) Gray Johnson.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. "Wally" Archbold; brothers, John R. "Bob" Hercules, Melvin Gray; sisters, Zelda Simms; Phyllis Cortellessi.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Arthur) Brassington of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Denise Phillips (Timothy) Hatfield, of Louisville, KY; great-grandson, Samuel; several nieces and nephews including Jeffrey (Jamie) Simms-Moralez of Belmont, NC.
Friends will be received on Tuesday March 21, 2023 from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311).
Interment will follow in Stone Church Cemetery, Wheeling.
