Joseph Lee Williamson, 82, of Proctor, died Friday, March 3, 2023, in Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born November 12, 1940, in Moundsville, the son of the late Arthur and Sophie Wnek Hill.
He was a retired coal miner from the McElroy Mine; a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and UMWA; loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alice Barbara Conner Williamson; one daughter, Melinda Simmons; one grandson, John Peterson.
Survivors include one son, Dean (Kristal) Williamson of Proctor; three daughters, Debbie (Russ) Sulecki of PA, Michelle Williamson of IN, Bridget (Mark) Albert of Moundsville; two brothers, Art (Mary Ann) Williamson of Cleveland, OH, Tom (Jackie) Williamson of CA; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, Moundsville.
