Karen Lee Grimes, 74, of Wheeling, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday March 23, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born on February 24, 1949, in Wheeling, daughter of the late Allen and Sarah (Bowman) Grimes.
Karen was a Methodist, and a member of the Greggsville Untied Methodist Church. She served a total of 54 years with the City of Wheeling, with most of her time as the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police. Karen was a kind selfless person who always had a contagious smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Grimes.
She is survived by a brother, Stewart A Grimes; niece, Rachel Grimes, nephew, Daniel Grimes, James Grimes; great-nephew, Conner Grimes and great-niece, Sarah Grimes.
At Karen's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service is planned for the near future. Arrangements by Kepner Funeral Home (304-242-2311).
