Martin "Ned" Gallaway, age 79, of Mt. Olivet, died Thursday, March 16, 2023 at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.
He was born January 7, 1944 in Wheeling, WV son of the late Wanda Myers Cornelia Trautwein
Ned was a retired delivery driver from Carenbauer Wholesale Corporation, with 30 years of service, and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, of nearly 51 years, Virginia Sue Gallaway; three brothers: Don, Paul and Michael Cornelia and one sister: Patricia Winters.
Survivors include one daughter: Kimberly (Heath) Suraba of Avon, OH; one son: Ned (Julie) Gallaway of Charlottesville, VA; five grandchildren: Brooke and Jake Suraba and Kaitlyn, Maggie and A.J. Gallaway and one sister: Judy Seabright of Wheeling.
Per Ned and Sue's wishes there will be no visitation or services.
Private interment, for both Ned and Sue, will be held later this year in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
