Mary "Ann" Ruckman of Wheeling, WV passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Liza's Place, Wheeling.
She was a retired switchboard operator and secretary at C & P Telephone Company with 33 years of service, a member of the Oglebay Garden Club and a Methodist by Faith.
Ann enjoyed ballroom dancing with her dance companion, Jack Fox and taught dance for free at Oglebay. She was very athletic and enjoyed softball, snow skiing, ice skating, swimming and traveling (Greece, Mexico, Turkey). She loved animals and the beach, where she had a house in Florida until 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Jo Reinacher Wilhelm; and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim (Robert) Custer and Donna (Jon) Bauknecht both of Wheeling ; one brother Tom (Cris) Wilhelm of Wheeling; three grandsons, Justin and David Bauknecht, and Robert A. Custer all of Wheeling and one nephew, Scott Wilhelm of Wheeling.
Private services and interment were held at the convenience of the family.
