PAUL NIGGEMYER

Paul J. Niggemyer, 92, of Springfield, OH, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his home in Springfield with family by his side.

He was born November 29, 1930, a son of the late Bernard I. and Helen C. (Kerkhoff) Niggemyer, Sr. Graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1948. Paul went to serve in the US Navy during the Korean War. After his service he graduated from Marshall University in 1958 with a Bachelors of Arts in Business. Paul retired from Ormet as a Financial Analyst and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Rita (Myles) Niggemyer (2008); one son, Kevin P. Niggemyer; three brothers, Bernard I Niggemyer, JR., Robert A. Niggemyer and George L. Niggemyer and his sister, Mary Elizabeth Trischler.

Paul is survived by his wife, Julia Nickell Niggemyer; his son Keith A. (Amy) Niggemyer, M.D. of Wexford, PA; five grandchildren, Kristin (Matt) Brown, Steven Niggemyer, Katelyn Niggemyer, Michael Niggemyer and Anna Niggemyer; 3 great-grandchildren, Avery, Ariana and Micah; his brother, Ralph C. Niggemyer of Fairmont, WV and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton for all of their care and support and a special thank you to nurses Brad and Tim.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at St. Michael Catholic Church at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum.
