Wayne Russell Rogerson, 80, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born October 2, 1942, son of the late George and Elsie Neidermyer Rogerson.
Wayne was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 33. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed country living and feeling the sunshine on his face.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Taylor Rogerson; brother, Norman Rogerson; and sisters, June Baker, Grace Coffield and Doris Riggle.
He is survived by his children, Russell (Susan) Rogerson, Randall (Tracy) Rogerson, Robert Rogerson, Ronald Rogerson and Melissa (Ray) Braun; grandchildren, Zoe (Chris) Fordyce, Jessica O'Kelley, Levi (Shayna) Rogerson, Katrina, Taylor and Kolton Rogerson and Emily and Lindsey Braun; four great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Gerald) Cook and Irma Nixon; brother, Donald Rogerson; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2311), where services will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11 AM with Pastor Kathy Wills officiating. Interment to follow in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard, WV.
