Brian Lee Stromatos, age 45 of Benwood, WV died Sunday, April 23, 2023.
He was born June 3, 1977 in Wheeling, WV the son of Beverly Hanke Gross of Wheeling, WV and the late Thomas Stromatos.
He was a graduate of Pittsburgh Technical Institute; a former machinist at Tri-State Machine; worked at Auto Zone; was a Protestant by faith; a member of Masonic Ohio Lodge #1 and Steel Valley Search Dog Team; and he enjoyed camping, playing guitar, and drawing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Grace Hanke; paternal grandmother, Gladys Stromatos; and a niece, Sadie Nickole Stromatos.
Including his mother, surviving are two children, Anastasia Stromatos and Thomas Stromatos, both of Bridgeport, OH; his girl friend, Melissa Veres; two brothers, William Stromatos of Pataskala, OH and Barry (Heidi) Stromatos, and their two children, all of Moundsville; a sister, Raylynn (William) Winklarek and their daughter, Adelynn, all of Uniontown, PA; several nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Christy Reed.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville.
Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
