Deborah Elaine Clark, 68, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on April 9, 2023. Born on April 10, 1954, she was the daughter of Shannon W. and Eleanor (Peyton) Brown.
A graduate of Triadelphia High School and the OVMC Nursing Program, Deb spent a majority of her career caring for patients on 4 West at OVMC. It was a job she loved and poured her heart into. Medicine was not just a job for her, it was a passion. But, what she loved most in life were her dogs and watching the wide array of life in her yard – especially the birds – and perfecting her tomato plants each year. She kept those around her laughing and was one of the best giver of nicknames and practical jokers around. Through her humor and big heart, she made many good friends in her life – and more than a few as a daily visitor to the Wellness Center, including her friend Bob Yeager.
Deb is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob, as well as her sons, Robert and John, and her beloved yellow lab, Gus. She's also survived by her sister, Becky (Dick) Chase, her niece and best friend, Courtney Chase, and additional dear friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A special thanks to those on 4 West at WVU Medicine/ Wheeling Hospital and Liza's Place for their compassionate care as Deb made her way through her last weeks.
Friends will be received for a memorial visitation on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 3:00 PM until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242-2311) with Reverend Margie Carr officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to K.E.Y. Animal Hospital, 855 Warden Run Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
