Edward "Greg" Schultz passed quietly at home on Thursday at age 66 after spending the day surrounded by family.
Greg often reflected fondly upon the students, colleagues, and friends he encountered during a 34-year tenure teaching at Wheeling Central Catholic High School, his decades spent fishing with friends and family at Piedmont Lake, relaxing years spent in retirement with his good dog friend "Mr. Gooters" (Chevy), and wonderful memories with his parents Ed and Barbara and brothers Steve, Neil, and Rusty.
He was loved and will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Jan; his loving sons, Aaron and Christian (Ashlee); and two adoring grandsons Gregory and Samuel.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 1 p.m. with Rev. Martin Smay serving as Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wheeling Central Catholic High School.
