JACK JAQUAY

Jack C. Jaquay, 88, of Wheeling WV passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Liza's Place, Wheeling. He was born July 25, 1934 in Wheeling, to the late Gordon I and Anna (Kirk) Jaquay.

Jack enlisted in the US Air Force and was stationed in Germany for 4 years as a Crypto Operator. Upon discharge, he worked as a policeman for the Wheeling Police Force, and later, a mail carrier for the USPS from which he would retire with 40 years of service. He also coached baseball and softball for many years.

Jack was most passionate about: his love of gardening, playing cards, assisting at the Farmer's Market, helping at Mt. Olivet Church's food pantry, and delivering his produce, groceries, and medicines to anyoine in need.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by brothers Andy, Gordon II, and Ersil; sisters Gerri, Eileen, and June; and his beloved grandson Lee Marki. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Faye (Nolte) Jaquay, formerly of Follansbee, WV, daughter Tina (Dave) Marki of Aliquippa, PA, son Paul (Jake) of Wheeling, cherished grabddaughter Julie Marki of Raleigh, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greater Wheeling Soup Kitchen @ 1610 Eoff St. or Christ United Methodist Church @ 1232 National Rd.

A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Friday April 21 @ 3pm.
