Jack "Sonny" Anthony Warrick, 75, of South Wheeling, WV passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born July 7, 1947, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Jack and Margaret Donadick Warrick.
Sonny retired after 30 years as a Janitor at Ritchie Elementary School in Wheeling. The children at the school knew him as Janitor Jack and always gave him hugs. He would tell them to make sure they go to school, learn, get a good job and always be good. He was a Catholic by faith, and a member of the IOLA Club.
He loved to fish & hunt, watch WVU basketball, WVU football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was loveable, generous & genuine. He will be sadly missed by his family & friends.
In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by a brother, James "Warlock" Nelson Warrick; and his 2 dogs, Shadow & Pumpkin.
Sonny is survived by his sister, Rosemary Warrick; and 2 special friends, Ashley McMahon & Eric Bowers.
Friends will be received on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 3-6 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242-2311) where services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
