Nancy Lou Leonard, 84, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 7, 1938 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Edward and Wilma (Vance) Weeks.
Nancy was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a past member of the Blessed Trinity Women's Guild. She was always on the go and kept busy with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Leonard (1989); and her two sisters, Barbara Pernell and Judy Funkhouser.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dick Leonard; three sons, Mike (Chris) Leonard, Mark (Kim) Leonard and Tim (Heather) Leonard, all of Wheeling; one daughter, Linda (John) Agostinelli of Martins Ferry; 12 grandchildren, Bradley, Natalie R., Matthew, Brian, Justin, Kayla, Adam, Emily, Jacob, Justin, AJ and Natalie A.; 13 great-grandchildren, Linden, Lane, Hunter, Aden, Addison, Skylar, Garrett, Aliyah, Colson, Paxton, Owen, Brady and Cameron and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 1400 Eoff St., Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary service. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, April 12, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Cabrita officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
