Virginia "Ginny" (West) Johnson of Wheeling, WV passed away on April 21, 2023 at the age of 64 at Liza's Place after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 16, 1958 in Wheeling to parents Robert and Evelyn West, Ginny was a graduate of Bellaire High School. She worked more than 40 years as a purchasing agent at Wheeling Hospital. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Elm Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert West, sister Mary Vingia, and mother-in-law Edie Johnson.
A devoted wife, mother, and sister, Ginny is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Laughlin and daughter Heather (Jeremy) Puglisi. She is also survived by three brothers, Edward, William, and Joseph West; three sisters, Carol Harris, Betty Dobosz, and Patricia Pramik; sister-in-law Nickie Blazina; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Additionally, she is survived by her cocker spaniel, PJ, and grand puppy Libby, both of which she loved dearly.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with Father Gary Naegele as celebrant.
