Bonnie Jean Holder Makris, age 93, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at WVU Wetzel County Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1929, in Barberton, OH, the daughter of the late Merle "Ben" and Valeria "Val" (Fridline) Holder.
Bonnie was a member of the New Martinsville United Methodist Church and was retired from the Wetzel County Board of Education where she taught fourth grade at New Martinsville School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Makris; sister Connie Salland; nephew, Scott Salland.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeannie (Chuck Orum) Cain, of St. Clairsville, OH, and Lynda (Gary) Frizzell of Mason, OH.; four grandchildren, Chase (Mykal Antonik) Cain, Juliana Frizzell, Grant Cain, Ava Frizzell; a great granddaughter, Myla Quinn Cain; nephew, Steven Salland; and a beloved dog Kenna.
Graveside service will be held Friday, May 26 at 11:30 am, at Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV.
