DAVID HALL

David Jerome Hall, 79, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital-WVU Medicine.

Dave was born November 27, 1943, in Latrobe, PA, a son of the late James and Mildred (Tewes) Hall. He was the retired owner of Ohio Valley Aviation / Aircraft Painting and Interiors; a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Wheeling; and a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran. In addition, he was a member of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and Webark Estates. Dave was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing since he was a boy. His greatest joy was spending quality time at his camp with family and friends. He loved building fires, playing poker late into the evening and sharing the wealth of stories he possessed. He spent most evenings at home, fishing on the Ohio River and looked forward to his annual salmon fishing trip with his closest friends in Pulaski, New York.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Strauss; and a brother, Jim Hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia Jean (Oleska) Hall; a son, Scott (Rachel) Hall of Columbus, OH; two step-sons, Brian C. (Robyn) Reineke and Eric L. (Jazlyn) Reineke, both of Wheeling; sisters, Karen Hall Wilson of Johnstown, PA and Janet (Steve) Tabler of Cleveland, OH; a brother, Rich (Pat) Hall of Melbourne Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Reed Hall, Travis Hall, Madison Strauss and McKenna Strauss; eight step- grandchildren, Gavin, Addison, Finn, Audrey and Ozzy Reineke, and Torey, Tierra and T.J. Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Dave's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
