Donald Theodore Gerrero, 88, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Wheeling Continuous Care Center.
He was born November 20, 1934, in Follansbee, WV, son of the late Henry F. and Anna Marie Tucci Gerrero.
Donald was the retired owner of Gerrero Music Stores. He was blessed to carry on his father's legacy of the music business, working side by side for decades with his brothers, Robert & Richard Gerrero. He spent his life promoting his love of the music industry.
He was a member of Cathedral of St. Joseph and an organist & choir director at several area churches. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Darrick A. Gerrero.
Donald is survived by 4 daughters, Karen (Bill) Haught, Christine (Gary) Webb, Charlene (Roger) Walter & Carman (Gary) Strope; son, Adam Gerrero; 2 brothers, Richard Gerrero & Robert (Elaine) Gerrero; devoted friend, Patricia V. Kutsch; 8 grandchildren; 3 great – grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) with Deacon Doug Breiding officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
