Doris Ann Murphy, 88, of Moundsville passed away peacefully May 10, 2023.
She was born on September 2, 1934, in Wheeling, WV. Daughter to the late Robert and Kathryn Seidler. She married Lee Murphy on October 20, 1956, and together they raised 4 children. Doris supported her children's school and activities, and was an active member of St. Francis Xavier parish in Moundsville. She supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee, in 1998, her sister Barbara Seidler, and brother, Robert "Bud" Seidler.
She is survived by her children Lee Ann (Kevin) Wilmot , of Canonsburg, PA; Sharon (Richard) Eaton of St. Clairsville, OH; Janet Tasker of Moundsville, WV, Chuck (Kris) Murphy of Merritt Island, FL; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Linda (Al) Voght of Canton, OH.
Friends will be received from 11am-1pm Saturday, May 13 at Altmeyer Funeral Home- Lutes & Kirby-Vance chapel 118 Grant Ave, Moundsville, WV. Mass of Christian burial will take place following at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 912 7th St. Moundsville, WV. Interment at Mt. Calvary at the convenince of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
