Howard Franklin Watkins Sr., 88, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born October 30, 1934, son of the late Herman and Hilda Mason Watkins.
Howard was a truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Prager Watkins; brother, Sonny Watkins; and sisters, Peggy Cronin and Martha Stamm.
He is survived by his sons, Howard (Heidi) Watkins Jr., Russell (Sarah) Watkins and Kevin (Stacey) Watkins; six grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; sisters, Mary Rinderer, Gertrude Marshall and Brenda (Jack) Klein; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor R. Paul Schafer officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311).
