John R. Bowman, 82, author, historian (West Virginia History Hero), and steamboat model builder, of Wheeling, WV, died Thursday May 18, 2023, at home.
Survivors are his wife, Glinda Jo Bowman; a son, Robert Bowman; two stepsons, John Davidson III and Steve Davidson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
