Kenneth R. McGuire age 98 of Wheeling, WV passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Liza's Place, Wheeling.
He was born April 22, 1925 in Idabel, OK the son of the late Fred and Lila Hope Mills McGuire.
Kenneth was a retired Chemist at PPG with 35 years of service; a member of First Church of God, Garvins Lane; Wheeling Masonic Lodge and a US Army Veteran having served in WWII in the Philippines and Australia. He enjoyed woodworking, farming and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria McGuire, one grandson, Chad Bush, two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Greg (Terri) McGuire of Proctor, WV, Chris McGuire of Wheeling; a daughter, Denise (Gary) Bush of West Union, SC: five grandchildren, Chris (Jane Ann) McGuire, Lorie Fowler, Eric (Denise) Bush, Cheryl McIntire, and Carol (Ron) Griffin; eight great-grandchildren, Khylee Fowler, Morgan McGuire, Allen, Amanda, Tyler and Madeline Bush, Cameron Cook and Dennis Washer; one great- great-granddaughter, Lorelei Fowler; one sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Saba of Huntsville, AL and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 1pm until time of funeral service at 3pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling with Pastor Ron Griffin officiating, followed by a military service conducted by the Moundsville Honor Guard.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
