Maxine Ruth (Jackson) Yost, 98, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Carriage Inn in Steubenville, OH.
Born on April 27, 1925, in Wheat, WV a daughter of the late Ellsworth and Laura (Lemley) Jackson. In addition to her parents, Maxine is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Jackson Yost, Sr. and twelve siblings.
Maxine graduated from Magnolia High School and was a member of the McKinleyville Church of Christ. Over the years she was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed taking care of her home and was thankful for the experiences of being able to travel to in England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Canada, and Colombia throughout the years.
Surviving her are three devoted children, Senator Jack (Kris) Yost, Jr. of Wheeling, WV, Nancy Metz of Carmichaels, PA, and Judy (Guillermo) Vanegas of Louisville, KY; five grandchildren, Dina (Michael) Yurek, Jay (Mandy) Yost, Alicia Yost Burns, Rachelle (Robb) Kalsey, Ryan (Michelle) Yost, eight great grandchildren, Danielle, Tyler, Lyndsay, Michaela (Dominic) Brittany, Nicholas, Sophia, Caleb and Mason, two great great grandchildren Daisy and Northe Elizabeth; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins
Visitation for Maxine will be held on Friday, May 12th from 3:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 6:00 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV with Larry Lemasters minister officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 A.M. at Cunningham Memorial Gardens in Burton, WV.
