Michael Patrick McNeil, 57, of Wheeling, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023, following a hard-fought battle with lung cancer.
Michael was born to the late Frank R. McNeil, Sr. and Rosalie McNeil on September 14, 1965. Mike graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 1983. He worked at Northwood Health Systems for 30 years working in direct care for autistic and mentally ill individuals. Over the years, he worked with some great co-workers who became life-long friends.
Mike loved music, kitschy collectables, old movies, and Jamison Whiskey. His love of music was further fueled when, in 2017, he wandered into Nail City Records. There he met owners Jon Napier and partner Molly, who introduced him to new music and collectors from around the world who shared his same passion. Over the years, his collection grew to over 2.000 albums.
He is survived by his mother, Rosalie McNeil; his wife, Lisa and son, Liam; brothers, Frank R. McNeil, Jr. (Connie) of Tiltonsville, Ohio, Bruce McNeil (Pam) of Wheeling; sister, Kathleen McNeil and her partner Brian Scott of Wheeling; In-law's, Stanley and Mary Jane Rogerson; brother- in-law and best friend, Kieth Rogerson (Martha); sisters-in-law, Donna White(David) and Carrie Casto(Ron) of Wheeling; and many nieces and nephews, relatives and dear friends.

Friends will be received on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling,. where funeral services will be on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11am.
