Michael Todd Medley, 72, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side, Saturday, May 28, 2023.
He was born in Ankara, Turkey, on July 27, 1950, a son of the late Maurice William and Miriam Louise (Clark) Medley. Michael was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Blue Water Navy Association. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing online games such as Dark Age of Camelot with his wife, playing his guitar and was an accomplished published author.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ava Elaine Hankinson and a son-in-law, Gerald Rozar.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Donna J. (Kidd) Medley of Moundsville; four children, Tammy (Tracy) Claiborne of Sharps Chapel, TN, Dawn Rozar of Byron, GA, Michael Allen Medley and his girlfriend Leticia Martinez of Lawrenceville, GA and Lisa Spielvogel of Moundsville; one brother; two sisters; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three on the way.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 1, from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., with Pastor Larry Jenkins officiating. Interment will be held at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.
