Mildred Amos, age 98, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Park Health Center St. Clairsville, OH.
She was born March 9, 1925, in Reader, WV, a daughter of the late Curtis William and Viola M. Ferrell Burgess.
She was a retired Lab Tech at PPG and a member of the Steelton Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Luther Amos; and one brother, Robert Burgess.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice (Steve) Furlong of Bowling Green, KY and Lorna (Giulio) Cappelletti of St. Clairsville, OH; one brother, Curtis Burgess, Jr. of Andover, KS; three grandchildren, Russell (Michelle) Converse of Charleston, IN, Evan (Kristen) Long of Moundsville, Michelle Converse of Bowling Green, KY; one great-grandson, Will Converse; two step- granddaughters and their families; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 11am until the time of funeral service at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, with Evang. Ed Melott officiating.
Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery New Martinsville.
