Ronald Louis Minter born November 20, 1949 in Wheeling WV to Fred G. and Elizabeth (Allen) Minter, passed away at Memorial Hospital, May 21, 2023 in Chattanooga, TN. He was the sixth of seven children.
Preceeding him in death are his father, Fred G. Minter, Sr., his mother, Elizabeth Minter and his elder brother, Fred G. Minter, Jr.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Marissa T. May and his granddaughter, Mia May of Wexford, PA; four sisters: Betty Dixon of LaFayette, GA, who was his devoted caretaker, Regina Jackson of Shadyside, OH, Carol (Alfred) Smith of LaFayette, GA, and Doris Kaiser of Yorkville, OH. He is also survived by one brother, Clyde Minter of Willoughby, OH and a dear friend of 59 years, Kim Eckhart of Clarion, PA.
Ron was an Army Veteran and served active duty in Vietnam.
Ron was a manager for Kinney Shoes in Conway, PA and later worked for Penn Pavillion in New Brighton, PA as a Probation Officer before retiring in the late 90's.
In his younger years he loved bowling and proudly wore a ring he earned for a perfect game. He also was fond of singing and was often the winner of karaoke contests.
Ron leaves to mourn, several cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
