Terry William Blackwell, 44, of Washington, PA, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born in Wheeling, WV on June 25, 1978 to William "Bill" and Bonnie (Minear) Blackwell. Terry was a Christian by faith, a golf enthusiast and an avid WVU football fan. He was currently employed by Eastern Gas Transmission & Storage INC as their Senior Gas Instrument Specialist. Terry took immense pride in his home and could be found taking care of everything there.
When you think of Terry, the first word that comes to mind is "kind". He was always known for being a kind and genuine person, sending his family essentials in the mail often to make sure they were taken care of.
Terry is preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Michael Blackwell of Wheeling; his nephew, Billy Blackwell of Wheeling; his ex-wife, Dawn Uhlott of South Carolina; several aunts and uncles, including his name sake, Terry (Carol) Blackwell; several cousins and many close friends.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 4-8 pm and again Monday, May 8 from 11 am until time of service at 12 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
