Anna Mae (Venskoske) Sengewalt, 87, of Valley Grove, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
Anna was born July 26, 1935 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Roy and Stella (Dombrowski) Venskoske. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her son, James Sengewalt, Jr,; and brother, Bill Venskoske.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James "Jim" Sengewalt; daughters, Karen (Bob) Rose of Benwood, WV and Deborah (Paul) Teachout of Rock Hill, SC; a brother, Floyd (Nancy) Venskoske of Moundsville; three granddaughters, Brandi Rose (fiance', Alan Olson) of Wheeling, Brittany (Corey) Guzzi of St. Clairsville, OH and Amanda (Wes) Hall of Wade, NC; and four great-grandchildren, Chase and Luca Guzzi of St. Clairsville, OH and Weston and Ainsley Hall of Wade, NC.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Monday, June 5, 2023, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Jeeson Stephan and Rev. Joseph Wiley as celebrants. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
