Anthony Michael Wheeler, 32, of Wheeling, passed away on Friday June 9, 2023
He was born in Wheeling on September 6, 1990 son of Jolly W. and Karen (Weiskircher) Wheeler, Jr.
Anthony was a 2009 graduate of Wheeling Park High School. After graduation, he continued his education at West Liberty University before attending West Virginia Northern Community College, where he earned his Associate degree in Culinary Arts. Over the next decade, he worked as a line cook at the Welty Home for the Aged and the Oglebay Park Commission.
Anthony was dedicated to his career, but valued time spent with his family, his best friends, Sam and Bri Hutchison, and his godson, Mason Hutchison. He loved video games and reading comics, but his favorite days were spent playing Hungry Hippos with his niece, Isabella. He was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer fan and enjoyed watching football games with his dad and brothers.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Weiskircher and Joan Dattoli Weiskircher and paternal grandfather, Jolly W. Wheeler, Sr.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his brothers, Adam (Kristen) Wheeler, Andrew Wheeler; nieces, Isabella and Alicen Wheeler; paternal grandmother, Sarah Wheeler and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received on Thursday June 15, 2023 from 3-7 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling (304-277-2722) where funeral services will be held on Friday June 16, 2023 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Lawrencefield Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or Lawrencefield Parish Church.
