Barbara Jo (Anderson) Rogers, affectionately known as Bobbie Jo, passed away peacefully on June 25th, 2023, at the age of 66. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, on September 9, 1956, to Charles Edward Anderson Sr. and Waneida Virginia Anderson, whom she is reunited with now.
Bobbie Jo dedicated much of her life to being a homemaker, raising and caring for her three beautiful children, Jennifer (Fred) Reynolds, Mary Bonnette, and Andrea Hehle. She poured her heart into every aspect of her life, whether it was cooking dinner for her family, creating beautiful crafts with her creative and talented hands, or being a friend to everyone she met.
As a lover of sewing and candle-making, Bobbie Jo had an incredible gift for creativity. Her warm heart and kind spirit lit up the lives of everyone she knew, and she never met a stranger. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and deeply cherished her faith.
Bobbie Jo's passing is preceded by that of her husband, Harold Lynn Rogers, mother Waneida Virginia Anderson Mosca, father Charles Edward Anderson Sr., loving brother Charles Edward Anderson Jr., and sister Judith Staub.
She is survived by sister Mary Ellen (Robert) Fry of Pocahontas County, WV, Peggy Sue (Danny) Godfrey of Wheeling, WV, and brother- in-law Robert K. Staub of New Cumberland, WV.
She was also a devoted grandmother to Logan, Matthew, Andrew, Jacob, Coltin, Conner, Caleb, Jordan, Aviree, Aubrie, and Raya, whose lives she deeply enriched. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who will always remember her lovingly.
Services for the life of Bobbie Jo will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Homes' Moundsville Chapel at 118 Grant Avenue on Wednesday, June 28th, from 1:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm. We will honor her memory by coming together to reflect on the beautiful life she lived and to celebrate the joy she brought to our lives.
Bobbie Jo's legacy will always live on in the hearts of all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but we take comfort knowing that she is reunited with her loved ones and resting in eternal peace.
