Charlene Sue "Tootie" Whitelatch Young, 73, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Friday June 9, 2023, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born May 27, 1950, in Glen Dale, WV, daughter of the late Charles Vance and Edna Newell Whitelatch. Retired from Northwood Health System and in her earlier years worked at the former Ames Department Store. She was a graduate of 1968 the last graduating class of MJHS.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sandy Rulong. Survived by her husband, Sam Young, sons, Roger Jr. (Deanna) Garrison of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; David (Carrie) Garrison of Moundsville, WV; five grandchildren, Donald Lee "Scooter", Amanda, Michael, Lexis, Gabe; and six great-grandchildren and some aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1109 Second St., Moundsville, WV, from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Green Lawn Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Larry Richards officiating.
