CHRISTOPHER DeMUTH
Christopher Michael DeMuth, 52, of Wheeling, WV passed away suddenly on June 25th, 2023 at WVU Reynolds Hospital.
Born on January 26th, 1971 in Wheeling, WV, Chris was a son of Sandra Hodor DeMuth and the late Kenneth DeMuth Jr.
Chris was a 1989 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and 1993 West Liberty University. In his professional life, Chris worked as a Magistrate Clerk for The Marshall County Magistrate. However, his true passion was spending time with his daughters, Ava, Eden, and Rosella. He loved nothing more than attending concerts with them, boating, and cheering on his beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chris was a life-long and very proud resident of Wheeling Island. He always made time for his very special nieces and nephew; Shelby, Chloe, Sofia and Bennett.
Chris also had a love for vintage toys, football, family gatherings, and his church, Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church. His close-knit group of friends included Carrie and Jim “Gils” Gilson, Mike Olson and others.
Chris lived life to its fullest and made sure that those around him did, too. He was a loving and devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. In addition to his children, Chris is survived by his mother, Sandra DeMuth, siblings Thomas (Holly) DeMuth, Jenny (Kenneth) Imer, and Natalie (Paul) Mulvey, and nieces and nephews Jordan (Kayleigh) DeMuth, Hannah DeMuth, Shelby Imer, Chloe Imer, Sofia Imer, and Bennett Mulvey, as well as, his co-parent and friend, Lori Chickos.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 30th from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, located at 1400 Eoff Street in Wheeling, WV. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 1st at 11:00am at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Wheeling, WV with Monsignor Bakhos Chidiac as the celebrant with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He lived a life filled with love, laughter, joy and fun. Above all else, he cherished his time with his daughters and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted father.
