Gene Franklin Howard, 65, of Moundsville, WV passed away Friday June 16, 2023 at Liza's Place. He was born February 8, 1958 in Wheeling, WV son of the late Frank & Gladys Riggs Howard. A Veteran in the United States Army. Retired from West Virginia Dept. Highways, but had several different jobs throughout his life. A member of the Church of God of McMechen, WV. Preceded in death also by one sister, Annette and one brother, Michael. Survived by three sons, Daniel Howard of McMechen, WV; Christopher Howard of Bellaire, OH; and Matthew Howard of Wheeling, WV; stepchildren, Jennifer Curtis of Wheeling, WV and Jason Yeater of McMechen, WV; sisters, Sevilla Logan of South Carolina, Charlotte (Louis) Khourey of Wheeling, WV; Helen Howard of Cameron, WV; two brothers, Russell (Bertie) Howard of Moundsville, WV and Kenneth Howard of Bellaire, OH; 18 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cous- ins, and aunts. his beloved fur babies, Diesel and Lucky and three best friends, Mike, Jim and Richard. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the the Marshall County Animal Shelter. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday June 25, 2023 with times to be announced.
