Lawrence John "Larry" Hetzel, 57, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Liza's Place.
He was born September 27, 1965, a son of Laurale (Stenger) Hetzel and the late John Harold Hetzel. Larry was a member of Heaven Bound Ministries and was very patriotic. He was a 911 dispatcher with Ohio County but had always expressed interest in broadcasting. Larry was a hard working man, his wife would say, "He liked working more than sleeping".
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his father- in-law, Dean Hays.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Brenda E. (Hays) Hetzel; his mother, Laurale Hetzel; three children Tami Tustin, Cari (Robert) Walsh and Tracy (Larry) Brandon; two brothers, James L. (Connie) Hetzel and Jerald L. (Nikki) Hetzel; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Hays; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one on the way; close friend of the family, Jeannie Pierce Waychoff and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Vineyard Church from 2 pm until time of service at 3 pm.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Liza's Place for all of their care and compassion given to Larry.
