Virginia "Ginnie" Ann Vermillion Miller, 79, of Wheeling, WV passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Liza's Place.
She was born September 15, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bernard and Bernardette Estep Vermillion.
Ginnie graduated from Triadelphia High School in 1961. She worked at L.S. Goods, Jones Nursing Home and Cameron Health Care, where she was the assistant activities director until 1995, when she retired.
Ginnie was a member of The Vineyard Church of Wheeling, WV. She loved Jesus with all of her heart. She loved to read her Bible, write Christian poems and sing / play hymns on her organ.
She loved spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Through the years, Ginnie loved to play bingo, bunco club, write poems, play board and card games, color adult coloring books, spend time with her family and good friends and attend her grand- children's sporting events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia "Patty" Kinnaman.
She is survived by her husband, David J. Miller, Jr.; children, Buddy (Meg) Miller, John (Jenn) Miller and Michelle (Mike) Miller Ratcliffe; 12 grand- children, Cory and Anthony Miller, Hannah (Colton) Miller Hug, Holden, Griffin, Caleb, Jeremy and Mariah Ratcliffe, Zach Newman and Maggie, Josie and Ethan Miller; and three great grandchildren, Cohen and Easton Ratcliffe and Lakelynn Hug.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2311), where services will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chris Figaretti and Rev. Dennis Arnold officiating.
Interment to follow in Prall Cemetery, West Liberty, WV. A luncheon will be held at the West Liberty Christian Church following the committal service at the cemetery.
