Charles Thomas Young "Chip", 76, of Wheeling, WV passed away on Saturday July 15, 2023, at Valley Hospice Care Center South, after a long illness.
Chip was employed as a pipefitter out of Local Union 83 Plumbers and Steamfitters until he retired in 2009. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Mozart. He was also raised as a member of Masonic Lodge No. 33.
He is survived by his wife Sandra L. (Reed) Young of 54 years, and his daughter Jennifer D Young. Along with his 3 grandchildren, Alyson L., Joshua A., and Emma M.; he also leaves behind his sister Debra K. and Gary Zien. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence E. "Hap", and Evelyn Young.
Chip was not only a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother but a friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 12, 2023 @ 4:00 pm at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mozart with a reception directly following at his home.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in his name to any of the following: Valley Hospice, Continuous Care Center of Wheeling, WV, Wheeling Health Right, Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund in Mozart.
