Floretta "Flo" Mae Florence Frame, 98, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Liza's Place.
She was born September 1, 1924, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Irvin R. and Mildred Kohlman Florence.
Flo was a graduate of Wheeling High School. She overcame a lot of family tragedies to become a strong-willed loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, and aunt.
She was a past member of the AARP; Women's Club of Wheeling; and Women's Association of Vance Church, where she was a current member. Flo loved to knit and made over 2000 newborn knitted hats for Wheeling Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Frame, Jr. in 1983; son, David S. Frame; daughter, Deborah A. Zinn; 2 sisters, Estella Murphy & Dolores Crago; granddaughter, Krista Irving; great- granddaughter, Isabelle Machine; and son-in-law, William Zinn.
Flo is survived by her son, James C. Frame, III; 3 granddaughters, Leesa (Kris) Helt, Jamie (John) Machine & Lindsay (Jason) Cordes; 5 great-grandchildren, Adryona, Xavier, Chance, Levi & Myles; and many nieces & nephews including Phil & Linda Wright.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242-2311) where services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 11:30 AM with Reverend Erica Harley officiating. Interment will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery.
