James Samuel Hutchison, 95, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, July 3, 2023.
He was born February 3, 1928, son of the late Robert and Cynthia Murphy Hutchison.
Jim was a graduate of Wheeling High School, a Methodist by faith and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He retired as a police officer after 22 years with the Wheeling Police Department and also retired as a mechanic for the Wheeling Housing Authority.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Lodge No. 1 A.F. & A.M. and the Cave Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Garvin Hutchison; brothers, Bob and Bill Hutchison; and sisters, Betty Budiscak and Gloria Scherwinski.
He is survived by his son, James Scott (Jill) Hutchison; three grandchildren, Mary (Chris) Perez, Matthew (Lindsay) Hutchison and Sam (Brianna) Hutchison; and four great grandchildren, Reid Perez and Finleigh, Jack and Mason Hutchison.
There will be no services and interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens will be held at the convenience of the family.
