Jerry Montgomery, Jr. age 63 of Sherrard, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born November 22, 1959 in Wheeling, WV.
Jerry was a retired iron worker with Local #549, Wheeling. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, he collected coins and guns, loved animals and coached Little League baseball and football.
He was preceded in death by his father: Jerry Montgomery, Sr. and step-father: Robert Murdock.
Survivors include his wife, of 41 years, Janet Black Montgomery; one son: Justin (Jennifer) Montgomery of Mozart; three grandchildren: Adynn, Mila and Connor Montgomery; his mother: Elise Bonar Young and her husband, John Young of Moundsville; one brother: Bruce (Penny) Montgomery of Dayton, OH and his beloved dog: Cody.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8pm with a funeral service at 4:00pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem /Wheeling.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Animal Shelter, 37 Animal Shelter Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
