Louanne Benline Blazier, 84, of Mozart, WV, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born July 22, 1938, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Fred L. and Louise A. Downing Benline.
Louanne was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy. She was a volunteer for 34 years at Wheeling Central where she ran the Knight stand that raised money for the band. She was always loving & caring and put everyone else 1st.
She was a very active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where she was a former cantor, lector & Eucharistic minister. She would take communion to shut-in's and was a member of the Christian Mothers program. She also was active at Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church, and was a member of the Cedars of Lebanon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 children, Barbara A. Blazier & David C. Blazier; sister, Margaret McNeil; and 3 brothers, Robert, Joseph & Eugene Benline.
Louanne is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, William F. Blazier; 3 children, Diane L. (Daniel) Baker, James A. (Lisa) Blazier & Linda S. (Jeromy) Nelms; 7 grandchildren, Amanda (Steve) Thomas, Jessica (Adam) Jenkins, Matthew Nelms, Joshua Nelms, Alexa Blazier, Alivia (Justin) Leonard & Brent (Monica Black) Blazier; 9 great-grand- children; several nieces & nephews; and many cousins, especially Peggy (Alex) Salvatori & Gerry Armstrong.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242- 2311) with a Rosary Devotion at 7:30 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2111 Market Street, Wheeling, WV with Father Joseph Wiley as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass in Greenwood Cemetery.
