It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Margaret "Peggy" Louise Wells.
She was born August 11, 1939, to Charles and Anne Norton of Wheeling, WV. She passed away on July 11, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly Nason, ex-husband & friend Kenneth Ralph Wells. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Meg (Mark) and Dana (Anthony); her sister, Beth (Jim); her six grandchildren, Carlye, Erin, Logan, Kali, Alex and Nick; seven great-grandchildren, Stevie, Harper, Caleb, Layla, Finn, Maxden and Landon and her niece, Jara.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother "gigi", great grandmother, aunt and friend.
She was a kind, caring, compassionate & generous woman of faith that loved gardening, dancing, gymnastics, diving, telling stories and mostly her family. She ran multiple successful busi- nesses, a wine, beer & specialty cheese shop, a hardware store, a lighting & plumbing showroom, a lighting & electrical supply store & managed multiple real estate investments.
She will be remembered with kindness and a smile and happy memories.
Her last gift and vocation was to donate her body to the Maryland Anatomy Board in the hope of saving lives.
She will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held August 12, 2023, in Bel Air, MD.
