Calvin Ray Crook, 82, of Warwood, WV, died August 12, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 15, 1941, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Bryson and Freda Smith Crook.
Calvin was a graduate of Warwood High School. He was a member of the Warwood Veteran Association and Six Time Past Exalted Ruler with BPOE Elks Lodges.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Kay Crook in 1991; significant other, Janet Domino in 2021; stepson, Ronald Daugherty; and brothers, Ronald and Lawrence Crook.
He is survived by his only son, Brian (Amy) Crook of Warwood; grandson, Freddie Schell-Myers of Warwood; sister, Beverly Crook Cash of Bridgeport, OH; brother, Garen (Andrea) Crook of Windsor Heights, WV; stepchildren, Elizabeth (Alan) Baker of Wheeling, Garrett Daugherty of Wheeling and Colleen (David) Barnes of Senecaville, OH.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 2 PM until the time of service at 6 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304- 242-2311).
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, will be held at the convenience of the family.
